Sweden’s FMV orders Conlog Tactical Communications Shelters

23 March, 2023: Conlog Group has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to supply its Tactical Communications Shelters with Deployable Mast Systems to the Swedish Armed Forces.

The Contract is valued at approximately €20 million, including options. Deliveries will begin in 2024 and conclude in 2025.

Conlog’s mobile, containerised stations are designed to allow users to maintain communications in the most challenging environments. Its quick-deploy mast systems can lift radars or antennas hydraulically to a height of 24m or more.

The Defence Forces received a mandate from the Ministry of Defence to order from Conlog Oy training in the design, implementation, documentation, use and maintenance of protection installations for communication station A, a 20 feet long container. 

The overall value of the procurement, without value added tax, is EUR 39.1 million. The procurement is part of the Defence Forces’ development programme.

The domestic employment effect of the contract will be about 113 person-years.

Ministry of Defence decided on procurement of domestic protection installations for communication station A – Puolustusministeriö (defmin.fi)

Juha Moisio has been appointed as the new CEO of Conlog Oy as of April 1st 2022.

Juha Moisio is extremely well experienced in the defence industry field. After his military career he has worked abroad in different tasks and more recently in Finland as the CEO of Robonic Ltd Oy from 2003 to 2016 and then as director for business development for two Finnish companies. He has served a long term on the board of the Association of the Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (AFDA). He is well networked both domestically and abroad as well as with the Finnish Defence Forces. In addition to his military training Juha Moisio has a BBA in business economics, and he is presently studying for his master’s degree in knowledge management. He holds the rank of Major (ret).

Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen has authorised the Finnish Defence Forces to sign a Partnership Agreement with Conlog Oy.

The Agreement covers the maintenance, service and modifications of the systems and equipment manufactured by Conlog Oy or represented by it, and related companies and sub-contractors. Thanks to the long-term cooperation and partnership between the Defence Forces and Conlog Oy that dates back to the early 2000s, Conlog Oy has developed strong competences in areas that secure the domestic security of supply for the critical systems of the Defence Forces also in emergencies.

The total value of the Partnership Agreement services will be approximately EUR 3.3 million per annum, and the Agreement will be in force for 15 years.
